Part of my family has called East Tennessee “Home” for ten generations now. When I was a kid, I lived out in far west Knox County, almost Lenoir City and watched our little world change around me. My wife is from the Nashville Area and I spent some time there too, watching the city grow up around us. We are thankful to live in Knoxville, raise a family here and be a part of this community we hold so dear.
Earning a degree in Supply Chain Management at the University of Tennessee provided frameworks to thrive in understanding and optimizing systems. Every transaction is a function of buying, selling or maintenance. Every decision is a choice of two between these three goals: fast, good or cheap.
Building has always been a source of fascination for me, as a kid walking houses in different stages of construction, learning the names of all the equipment, building towns with Lincoln Logs and Legos. I entered the world of real estate buying our first home, thinking about how things are built and what their investment potential may be. Now I am thinking most about how the systems that enable community, the one we cherish, depend on the built environment, what needs to change to provide a better future.
The process of building a better life with my clients is the most rewarding aspect of the work I do. This combines self reflection, tailored searches and elements of the design process. Come find me on adventures with real estate, fitting clothing with William & Wylie, and enjoying events with GRID, Knox Heritage, Interior Design Society and YES! Knoxville.
